They said that Ikumi Yoshimatsu is the least attractive Asian queen who won Miss International and her win is very questionable! They also said that She's nowhere near the level of the other 5 Asian Miss International winners.
Maybe she is just the result of the evolution of the concept of what a miss international is. japan has been playing underdog for several decades before. in fairness japan used to be the fairest of them all in judging since time immemorial. give it to them. they probably want to dance to today's music.
For me she still very Beautiful and Gorgeous and honestly, Japanese women is my type, and yes korean women too!

It a bit weird, we all see that in beauty pageant there are politics, yes it's unfortunately a reality. I think even if miss China won in her home she was a huge fav before and during the pageant, and she is really gorgeous, so she deserved it. For miss Japan, I don't believe that she deserved it, there are better then her. But we should't forget that occidental countries did that several times, miss USA won 7th times miss Universe in USA and miss England won 5th times miss World in Uk.
Little did Ikumi know that she would eventually make history in Okinawa. She gave Japan their first Miss International and it's third Big 4 win. Many pageant fans may not be able to accept the home court victory, but Ikumi still has a whole year to prove her worth.
